What are the dimensions and volume of the Atlas ONE MISSION?
The MISSION measures 18.5 inches (47cm) tall by 10.5 inches (27cm) wide by 7 inches (18cm) deep, expanding to 8 inches (20cm) deep when stuffed full. Total volume is 27 to 30 liters and it weighs 3.5 lbs (1.6 kg).
What size camera configurations can the Origami Camera Core hold?
The 14-liter Origami Camera Core natively holds a full-frame mirrorless camera body with a 70-200mm lens or a 200-600mm lens attached. It also seamlessly fits the modular CapCASE magnetic case system. MISSION's core uses a single bottom fold with 1/4 inch EVA, built more for separation and covert quick-access than for full structural protection, so pairing it with a CapCASE is recommended if you want the same level of built-in protection Athlete and Adventure get from their thicker, fully sewn-in cores.
How many access points does the MISSION have?
The MISSION opens three ways: a magnetic side door for fast retrieval of a body and lens without stopping or removing the pack, a traditional top-load entry, and a full backpanel clamshell for complete kit visibility.
Where is the laptop stored and what sizes are supported?
The MISSION has dedicated internal storage that fits a 16-inch MacBook Pro and an iPad Pro simultaneously, accessed via either the front panel pop-out or the backpanel.
What premium technical fabrics are used to construct the MISSION?
Depending on the selected tier, the MISSION is built using Challenge Sailcloth materials, including the ultra-durable Challenge RBC 450RS plus EPLX 400 (Black Knight), genuine licensed MultiCam EPX600/Westridge fabrics, or the steel-strength UltraWeave 400X plus 800X (White Lightning).
Is the MISSION fully waterproof?
It's highly weatherproof but not completely waterproof. The Challenge Sailcloth fabrics carry a waterproof rating, but the seams, zippers, and binds are not waterproof. A separate rain cover is available for full waterproofing.
What internal organization comes built into the MISSION?
The MISSION includes an internal laser-cut MOLLE panel, a StashPack size-graduated stretch pouch system, and built-in LoopLocks configured to secure up to three camera batteries, a hex tool, and a penlight.
Does the MISSION support hiking hip belts for weight distribution?
Yes. Unlike the smaller DAY and GETAWAY packs, the MISSION is fully compatible with all Atlas modular hiking hip belts, properly distributing heavy gear configurations across the core on long treks.
Which CapCASE fits the MISSION pack?
MISSION doesn't have its own dedicated footprint CapCASE, but both the DAY-sized (11.8 by 9.8 by 2.8 inches / 30 by 25 by 7cm) and GETAWAY-sized (13.8 by 9.8 by 4.7 inches / 35 by 25 by 12cm) CapCASEs fit inside it, in either PRO (semi-rigid) or GO (soft-sided). Choose whichever footprint suits how much of the interior you want dedicated to camera storage. Smaller gear-specific CapCASEs like the Smuggler or 70-200 work in MISSION as well.
How does MISSION's Origami Camera Core compare to Athlete and Adventure's?
Athlete and Adventure use a sewn-in Origami Camera Core connected to the pack's frame, with 1/2 inch EVA that acts like a fully protective box the moment the backpanel opens. MISSION's Origami Camera Core is a single bottom fold with 1/4 inch EVA, intentionally lighter duty. It's designed so you can tuck a body at the bottom and reach it through the side door without opening the backpanel and exposing the rest of your gear, keeping your kit discreet. Because that core isn't built for full protection the way Athlete and Adventure's are, CapCASE is the recommended way to add real structure and impact protection inside MISSION.
