This is not just the best camera pack I’ve ever had, it’s an amazing pack, period. Well-made, super comfortable to wear. Well thought out all atound. I will definitely be buying more from AtlasPacks.
I didn't expect this pack to fit almost all my needs. But it did. It is comfortable when loaded. it is safe for gear. It packs enough stuff for a long trips. It has all you need and nothing extra. First trip loaded it with RRS Tripod, couple lenses, DJI Avata and D850 body. 5 shirts, underwear and socks. Water bladder and snow shoes. Walked around Sequoia National park for 3 days in deep snow. Pack performed very good.
BUT - if you are a tall guy, over 6 feet - Long torso option will be short for you. I'm 6'10" and it is undersized and I have to play with shoulder straps to dial it in. Minus one star.
I wish there was a company that made stuff for tall people.
Hello Dmitrii. Thank you for the amazing review and feedback. Was wondering when someone was going to break my 5 star streak ;)
So with the Athlete Pack the tipping point is about 6'7 or so -- so it will be short on you. That said, there are a number of tricks I've learnt over the years and am happy to help get you dialed in with a video fitting.
Of note -- Had you gone with the Adventure Pack you would have had more options. The design includes a removable shoulder harnesses and with the XL installed (not on the menu), I rate it to 6'10. The Adventure allows for torso length adjustments (+/- 2') by moving the shoulder harness velcro connection in the backpanel.
Given your loadout I can tell you know how to pack as you had a good haul in the Athlete and by your accounts it did the job well -- but given your build I would say the Adventure would fit you better and still feel/look small.
As a small brand I've worked to find ways to accommodate big/tall and small too! I offer both packs in different torso lengths and offer 5 different sizes of hip belts from XS at 26'-28' all the way to XXL at 54'+.

Best camera Pack I have ever owned after decades of trying different brands, mostly Lowepro. Comfortable, sturdy, excellent zipper, good protection. I would like it if the chest strap was wider and the strap buckles were bigger.
There are many camera packs, but most do not have adequate suspension systems for a full camera kit and also tend to lack the capacity for non-camera essentials (layers for cold nights, food, rain gear, etc.).
Atlas has put a real backpack suspension system onto a bag that is highly flexible and tremendously versatile. I particularly like the origami fold system in my Adventure pack. It allows me to adjust the volume distribution between the rear camera section and the top compartment to fit my needs. I keep my long lens at the top of the camera compartment; if I don’t need to carry the long lens I can fold down the first fold of the origami and increase the volume of the top compartment.
I take my Adventure Backpack with me on every shoot, and it provides the perfect balance to fit all my camera and personal gear.
I've tried all the other camera backpacks but this one was instantly my favorite, and with the extra accessories, I've been able to tailor my backpack to all my travel needs.

To the review, I sadly did not take a lot of photos of the backpack while shooting. But I have attached them here and I can only say that I absolutely love this backpack. I would buy it again and again.
Even for me coming from Germany with paying taxes to get it delivered. It just different to every other camera bag.
I had an old 16mm Camera with 3 lenses with me, an FX3 for backup with 4 lenses and one Nikon F3 for photos. It all fitted easily in the Adventure Pack. I even had it as hand luggage and it was absolutely no problem at all.
For me Atlas Packs is the right camera bag. It fits great, is attractive, practical and lightweight.

I loved my Adventure Pack so much that I purchased the Athlete Pack to go along with it! Spending a lot of my time on two wheels adventuring, I'm very tough on my gear and my Atlas packs have thrived at everything I can through at them. I use my Adventure Pack when I'm out shooting wildlife and need my bigger lenses or when I'm on multiday trips and need to pack camera and camping gear. The Athlete Pack is my everyday camera bag that allows me to carry all the gear I need plus a few layers and plenty of snacks. I really like these packs because they don't look like camera bags with expensive gear in them, living in a big city where I often leave my bag in my truck and this matters to me. From the seashore to the desert to the mountains, one of my Atlas Packs is always with me. Feel free to ask me any questions

Hi and welcome to my Atlas page! I love being outdoors as much as possible exporing this beautiful place called earth. Whether I'm camping out of my truck, off my motorcycle, bikepacking or backpacking, one of my Atlas Packs is generally accompaning me.
I own both the Athlete and Adventure Packs. Its versatility is unmatched, seamlessly transitioning between my day job and accommodating my camera equipment. This is especially valuable to me, as I always carry my camera. I appreciate how the Atlas is designed foremost as a camera bag but functions exceptionally as a backpack. Being someone who values minimalism, having both packs perfectly fulfills all my requirements. I can confidently say that I won't be needing another backpack anytime soon!

Welcome to my Pro Team Page. Hands down the best camera bags on the market today. I first got introduced to @atlaspacks on a trip to @tempecamera and after spending half an hour playing with zippers, the rain fly and the internal origami expansion piece I decided to make a purchase. Two bags and 10000 miles later, I must say that they continue to amaze me. Inspiring confidence in harsh environments and inclement weather yet still right at home stuffed to the gills with strobes and glass in a reception hall during a wedding shoot. Even this razor sharp lava didn’t phase it one bit. Cheers guys

Another great product from Atlas Packs. I already had the Athlete, but needed something bigger due to my expanded kit so enter the Adventure. It’s got a great feel to it, oodles of space for all of my gear, and is incredibly comfortable.
Love this backpack! So many ways to make use of it. I removed the metal thing so I can make the backpack smaller. I haven’t taken it backpacking yet hopefully soon!
I had an opportunity to take my Atlas Pack out on a steep trail and was very impressed by how it felt and performed. My Nikon Z8 with the 180-600 mm lens attached fit well in the large compartment.
I can’t tell you how many backpacks I have sitting around, so when I say this particular pack by atlas is truly amazing it’s from experience. The quality of construction can’t be matched. The attention to detail and thoughtfulness for photographers, especially is truly creative. This is serious pack built with purpose. I am looking forward to many years with this purchase and would highly recommend anyone that has expensive photography gear and wishes to travel securely to purchase.
