Hi, I'm Wilson. I am a Portuguese scientist, photographer and member of The Explorers Club, based in Germany. I've been traveling the world for the past 10 years in scientific expeditions but also in personal endeavors. My love for storytelling has led me to document the cultures I encountered and the places I traveled through photography. My wish is to be able to share the stories of those remote expeditions.

I started using because I was planning another trip to the remote forest of the Republic of the Congo. I needed a backpack that would be spacious enough to accommodate my photographic gear but also camping equipment and other items necessary during expedition. More importantly, I needed that the backpack would be comfortable to wear during long, difficult walks in the rain forest. After testing it in some mountainous hikes, International traveling and climbing Gran Paradiso mountain, I decided to take it to Congo. It was the best decision I've made.

My background in biology and anthropology had led me to some of the remotest rainforests on Earth on several expeditions. Nowadays I work mainly with nomadic communities in the Republic of the Congo, documenting their lives. When I'm not hiking through dense rainforest, you can find me hiking, climbing and mountaneering around the world, exploring other cultures, nature and the human potential. The Atlas Athlete pack has been revolutionary for my style of traveling and for my expeditions allowing me to carry all my photographic equipment comfortably, while also carrying food supplies and sleeping equipment.
