PACKS IN FAIR CONDITION

5% orig. purchase price

DESCRIPTION:
Happy packs with dirt, snags, holes and clear signs of lots of use over extended periods, are for the purposes of a trade-in, considered in poor to fair condition and only the frame is required (no dividers, belt or raincover).

PACKS IN GOOD CONDITION

10% of orig. purchase price

DESCRIPTION:
A pack that shows clear signs of use but without any major nicks, marks or signs other than normal wear and tear both inside and outside is considered in good condition. These packs are essentially in used condition and require frame and rain-cover only.

PACKS IN GREAT CONDITION

20% of orig. purchase price

DESCRIPTION: 
Packs with little to no signs of use and without any visible marks, dirt, nicks or blemishes both inside and outside are considered in great condition. These packs are essentially in like new condition and require frame, rain-cover and hip belt.

Atlas Packs - Trade-In and Recommerce Program

The process is super simple. Send us some photos of your pack. We review and issue a credit based on the trade-in formula described below. 

If you choose to accept the offer, we'll provide a prepaid return label for your current pack and generate a payable link for your new pack with the credit included in advance.

Pay for your new pack. Prep, box and ship your old pack. Be sure to let us know once it's on the way and we'll ship out your new pack right away.

The value of your pack for trade-in credit is based on three factors: 

  1. Your original purchase price
  2. The current condition 
  3. The age / generation

The formula that determines the trade-in value takes the ( % condition + % age ) x ( the original purchase price ) = Trade In Value

VALUE FOR CONDITION: 

  • Poor to Fair Condition: 5% of original purchase price
  • Good Condition: 10% of original purchase price
  • Great Condition: 20% of original purchase price

VALUE BASED ON AGE: 

  • GEN1: 5% of orig. purchase price
  • GEN2: 15% of orig. purchase price

The current condition of the pack is worth between 5 - 20% of the original purchase price.

The price you paid at the time of purchase, also know as MAP pricing, is used to determine value based on age If you do not remember how much you paid for your pack, we can look it up. 

  • GEN 1 Packs have a trade-in value equal to 5% of their original purchase price
  • GEN 2 packs have a trade-in value equal to 10% of their original purchase price. 

Your new pack will ship out based on the shipping method you select at checkout and your old pack must have a confirmed tracking number. 

As soon as you drop-off your old pack let us know so we can ship out your new pack.

Telling the difference is easy. Just look at the ATLAS logo on the front. 

If the logo is very big and easy to read, then you have a GEN1 pack. If the logo smaller and tonal making it harder to see, you have a GEN2 pack.

FYI: GEN1 packs were sold prior to 2021. GEN2 packs have been sold since 2022. 

Yes, you can still do a trade-in. There will just be some additional costs for shipping. Please inquire via chat.

Yes. You can trade-in the pack you are getting for another trade-in credit on a new pack. The cycle can repeat and repeat and will not dilute out. 

Said another way, when chose to trade-in your next pack, the original purchase price is based on the full price, not the price you pay which includes the trade-in credit.

Packs purchased directly from Atlas Packs (via site or events) will receive back more in trade when compared to packs purchased from third party sites or retailers and can be traded-in at anytime. 

Packs purchased from third party sites, retailers or second hand, will receive back 75% of the original purchase price and must be in good to great condition to be eligible for trade.

At this time only packs can be traded-in for credit on a new pack. If you purchased any parts or accessories they have no trade-in value. This policy may change over time.

It does not. Only packs are accepted for trade-in credit and the purchase price will include any discount, credits, refunds and exclude all other costs or charges related to taxes, duties, shipping, parts, accessories or other.
