I'm Kieran, and I have been heavily involved in sports my whole life, only striking up photography later on during high school. I never though about merging the two passions because it would've been tough to have a camera out on the field during my football games in college. Once that period of my life ended, I filled the void with biking in the summer and snowboarding in the winter; this allowed me to start integrating my photography with my active life.

Outdoor recreation like mountain biking, splitboarding and resort riding creates plenty of opportunity for abuse of delicate and expensive photo gear. I always struggled to find a pack that fit my big three criteria: comfort, packability and protection. There are plenty of packs that do one or two of those really well, but Atlas is the first to check all boxes for me. I’m able to confidently and comfortably ride bikes and boards, and have taken many a tumble on harsh terrain without damaging my gear. *Aggressively knocks on wood*
