Whether you’re navigating airports, city streets, or rugged terrains, this bundle offers the perfect balance of comfort, functionality, and ease of use.
Atlas Packs are fitted based on torso length.
Atlas Packs are sized based on torso length. Choose the size that best fits your height/weight. Do not select a size based on liters. See the size chart here with additional details below.|
|
1. Cut a piece of string 18"/45.5cm
2. Hold the top to your C7 vertebrae and drop the bottom end.
3. Now feel all the way down to where string ends. It will fall either above or below your Iliac Center (essentially your love handles and where you rest your hands when you are putting your hands on your hips).
-----
PS: If the string goes past your love handles, that means your torso is
shorter than 18" = medium size pack. If the string ends before your love handles, that means your torso longer than 18" = large size pack.

Amainzjnv build quality and attention to detail. Cery happy with the purchase. Couldn’t recommend it highly enough
I've been through a lot of backpacks. I've owned peak design's every day, think tank's shape shifter, goruck GR2, thule covert, brevite, ospreys... all of them have their positives and negatives, this pack has amazingly taken many of the good qualities from all of these bags and wrapped them into one. I needed a bag that could hold all my camera gear for video shoots, but I also wanted something that I could travel with and throw in some clothes. I cannot believe how much I can cram into this bag without it feeling like it's huge and keeping everything neat and compartmentalized. I love the tripod holders on the side (many of the bags i've owned have really annoying tripod holding mechanisms, or none at all)
Positives:
- Size is perfect, doesn't feel too big but can still hold a lot
- love the origami folder for when I want to carry my drone or a bigger lens
- Material quality is top notch
- Incredible amount of storage thanks to stretchy material on the front, can hold anything. I put my DJI ronin-s in the front section and it's well protected.
- Tripod / drink holsters are the best I've used
- Camera dividers are the best I've used, shape really nicely around your stuff and keeps it well protected
- I personally love that this bag isn't too deep like some other camera bags, it means certain lenses won't go in upright but most lenses for my Sony cameras fit fine.
- Love the expanding pockets on the hip belt, great for keeping a lens handy.
- Love that the hip belt is removable
- Love having the access panel on the back of the bag, I hate side entry bags - they seem like a good idea in theory but it just makes your gear really hard to access unless you're just carrying one camera with the lens attached.
- I like the minimal design overall
- Love the company and I like supporting smaller companies with a good ethos
- Price is high, but I think it's fair for a smaller company, and still a lot cheaper a Goruck but fits my needs better.
Criticisms:
- Don't like the yellow color version at all, the black looks good overall but could probably be classed up a little bit more since it's such a premium bag.
- Better shoulder straps with a little more padding/comfort and maybe some kind of phone holster built in - Think Tank are the kings of straps in my opinion. Shimoda has a cool phone holster.
- The laptop sleeve works great, but when the bag is fully loaded it's kind of a pain in the butt to get it out so when traveling and pulling it out for TSA this could be slightly irritating. If there was some way to have a dedicated zipper to get quick access to your laptop I think that'd be awesome.
- I wouldn't mind having a few more little organizational pockets and slots for things like pens, remotes, cables etc. The pockets are good but some of them can get messy/cluttered.
I picked up this pack so I would be able to bridge my camera gear load and clothing for trips and it has blown it out the water. I carry a Sony FX3 a few lenses gimbal and drone and I still have room, the origami expansion is great because I can pack depending on the trip whether I want to go for a lighter or heavier load. I also got the mesh that can be attached to the back and its great as well for looping things that you need on the fly. Cant recommend this pack enough.
Phenomenal. Does it all. Places for everything, surprising storage. Comfort, modularity in the shape of less discreet hiking pack. Excellent construction...
The Atlas Athlete pack is easily the best (and my favorite) I’ve ever owned. Whether I’m going on a road trip or a day hike, it’s the ideal solution.

With over a decade of travelling to 100+ countries, I need gear that’s tough, reliable, and ready for anything—just like Atlas Packs. Whether I’m chasing sunsets in remote landscapes or capturing the stars in the dead of night, Atlas Packs are with me every step (and snap) of the way. From airport runs to rugged hikes, these backpacks handle my demanding schedule without breaking a sweat. It’s more than just a pack—it’s my go-to travel companion!
I love my @atlaspacks. It safely held all my camera gear while on these excursions.
Outdoor recreation like mountain biking, splitboarding and resort riding creates plenty of opportunity for abuse of delicate and expensive photo gear. I always struggled to find a pack that fit my big three criteria: comfort, packability and protection. There are plenty of packs that do one or two of those really well, but Atlas is the first to check all boxes for me. I’m able to confidently and comfortably ride bikes and boards, and have taken many a tumble on harsh terrain without damaging my gear.

I spend around 250-300 days each year on the road. From the scorching fine sand deserts of Namibia to arctic temperatures of Finnish Lapland to self-assigned projects at 6500m in -35ºC. My gear goes through a lot… and so do the bags that come along on the job. And I’ve never been able to find the perfect bag that can do it all

Thank you for stopping by. I found Atlas Packs a few years back and it has been my go to camera pack for outdoor astrophotography adventures.
I started using because I was planning another trip to the remote forest of the Republic of the Congo. I needed a backpack that would be spacious enough to accomodate my photographic gear but also camping equipment and other items necessary during expedition. More importantly, I needed that the backpack would be comfortable to wear during long, difficult walks in the rainforest. After testing it in some mountainous hikes, International travelling and climbing Gran Paradiso mountain I decided to take it to Congo. It was the best decision I've made.

Hi, I'm Wilson. I am a Portuguese scientist, photographer and member of The Explorers Club, based in Germany. My background in biology and anthropology had led me to some of the remotest rainforests on Earth on several expeditions. Nowadays I work mainly with nomadic communities in the Republic of the Congo, documenting their lives. When I'm not hiking through dense rainforest, you can find me hiking, climbing and mountaneering around the world, exploring other cultures, nature and the human potential. The Atlas Athlete pack has been revolutionary for my style of travelling and for my expeditions allowing me to carry all my photographic equipment comfortably, while also carrying food supplies and sleeping equipment.

For years, I actually worked as a gear tester for a major travel blog. I literally tested dozens of packs during my tenure. The landscape for hybrid photo x hiking backpacks is actually quite narrow and it was not before I tried the Atlas Athlete Pack did I truly feel like I had found the right pack for myself. I lead trips all over the world in a wide variety of climates, terrains, and landscapes - all of which involve trekking or climbing of some kind. If I did not have my Atlas Pack, I truly do not know how I could operate in the field the way I do. My Athlete Pack delivers the right balance of wearable comfort and support, has enough space for me to have gear for high altitude and long day hikes in cold weather, and gives me plenty of flexibility for my camera and drone set up. In short, I can’t recommend this pack enough if you like wild, rugged adventures and need to carry multiple camera lenses and/or a drone. There is simply nothing better on the market that feels like a proper hiking bag, but delivers as the essentials of a top tier camera bag. Full stop.

Hey guys! Chris here. I have been leading hiking expeditions to some of the most remote and rugged mountain ranges on earth for the past 7 years. Photography plays a huge roll in what I do as through my photos and videos, I help to breakdown negative stereotypes about parts of the world often considered dangerous or that might otherwise prevent people from traveling to these truly magical destinations. Basically I sling life-changing experiences for a living and hope to inspire the travel community at large to push their limits of comfort and laugh as much as possible along the way. From Himalayan summits to the lush ridges of Madeira Island, my Atlas Pack is with me every step of the way, and has proved to be a crucial and adaptable pack for all of the diverse adventures I embark on.
